In 1988, Ginger Kilbane launched a collection of vintage European hotel silver, at a gourmet food store in Darien, Connecticut. Quickly, the silver drew customers from near and far and received press coverage. Collecting and entertaining with hotel silver was a trend.

Hotel silver, made for the grand European hotels, restaurants, railways and steamship lines is beautiful, hefty and durable. Found on travels through England and the Continent, it is the answer to a new silver for the home. The silver is evocative of the days of ocean travel and The Grand Tour, handsome in its pure functional design, and a pleasure to handle.

Hôtel also has a well established reproduction business. Originally inspired by the vintage pieces, the reproduction line now includes decorative accessories.
